In high school Abby assumed the nickname Abs and from then on, she knew she had her work cut out for her, literally.   While at the University of Georgia, Abby became certified as a group fitness instructor.  Teaching for the first time led her to the realization that “Yes, It is that hard to talk while exercising, maintaining perfect form, and averting participant collisions”.  Flash forward 10 years; Abby feels extremely fortunate to be able to touch, move, and inspire people each and every day. Her career aspirations led her through many different adventures from international flight attendant to aspiring litigator; however her constant passion has always been fitness.  Her best workout advice? “Just show up. ‘Eighty percent of success is achieved by simply showing up!"

 

Amanda ZitoAmanda Zito

Amanda is a pediatric speech therapist working in schools and in private practice around Atlanta. She earned a bachelor's degree from LSU and a master's from Vanderbilt. She is originally from South Louisiana, but has been in Atlanta since 2003. Amanda has played sports and worked out for years. Everything changed, however, after coming to Adrenaline and being introduced to Les Mills group fitness. She truly has come to love and appreciate exercise and can't wait to share it with others! Come experience the thrill of the ride in RPM with her!

 

Beth WilcherBeth Wilcher

Group Fitness Certifications: RPM

Beth is an engineer, spending her days at a computer designing microchips for Broadcom. She is also an endurance athlete, focusing on cycling but also competing in half marathons and half-ironman triathlons. She began taking RPM classes in the fall of 2006 as a way to maintain her cycling fitness when daylight/weather conditions kept her from riding outside. She immediately realized that RPM not only helped her stay fit during the off-season but enhanced her outdoor cycling fitness year-round. In order to share her enthusiasm for cycling and RPM, she decided to step outside of her "introverted engineer" box and take the stage as an instructor. Beth was raised in West Virginia and, after living for many years in Virginia, came to Atlanta in 1995. She received her electrical engineering degrees from University of Cincinnati and University of Maryland.

 

Brianna ShrierBrianna (Bri) Shrier

Group Fitness Certifications: BODYFLOW, BODYPUMP, BODYJAM, BODYSTEP, Nesta Sport Yoga, Spencer Pilates, YogaFit

Bri is a recent marine biologist import from Washington state. When not defending the underwater world you can find her working out, supporting the Braves and reading scuba magazines. Bri’s first love was BODYFLOW, but she likes to mix it up with BODYSTEP and BODYPUMP, and has most recently become enchanted with Adrenaline Fire.

 

Carol StephansCarol Stephans

Group Fitness Certifications: Pilates

Carol is a certified personal trainer and IMX Pilates instructor.  She has performed as a professional dancer with the Southwest Jazz/Ballet Company, in shows in Las Vegas, and as an NFL cheerleader in Houston. Carol has always regarded weight training, cardio exercise and proper nutrition as preventative health care, thereby improving the quality of one's life. She tells her clients not to focus on things that cannot be changed, but rather on what can be changed like metabolic rate, size, weight and shape. An exercise program should not be looked upon as drudgery, but as an enjoyable challenge in one's daily routine for a lifetime!

Group Fitness Certifications: Yoga and Mat Pilates

Eleven years ago, a friend recommended Cherri try a yoga class to help ease a stiff back.  She was hooked.  Cherri has been teaching yoga classes since 1999.  Her Vinyasa style classes emphasize strength, balance and flexibility.  Cherri feels that yoga can teach the benefits of physical exercise while offering wonderful emotional benefits such as stress reduction.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends and settling down with a good book.

Known for his gift/curse of “gab”, Gaby is the class clown turned group fitness instructor.  He is considered by most to be fun and energetic with an infectious and motivating personality, always open for good conversation.  He is currently pursuing a degree in exercise physiology while maintaining a great focus on physical therapy. With an extreme passion for fitness and well being, Gaby looks to take himself and all who are around him to the next level with hard work and a little fun.

After years of fad dieting, boring workouts and one unused gym membership after another Gloria decided to give this “fitness” thing one last try; and it worked! Guy lives for a good adrenaline rush, so working out at Adrenaline Fitness for the past year has been a good fit. After graduating from GC&SU, Guy secured a 9 to 5 in sales at a small company in Duluth.  His free time is spent chasing adrenaline rushes through wakeboarding, snowboarding, and even skydiving. Fast cars and golf rank high on his list as well. Guy has always been involved in athletics and taken pride in health and fitness. He used to be a “group fitness hater” but after taking a few classes, he was hooked for life. Guy immediately developed a passion for BODYPUMP and after 6 months of taking the class, he had to get on stage. You might not know him yet, but keep an eye out. You can’t miss his colorful headbands!

Before opening Adrenaline Fitness, Jacob (Jake) worked in the fitness industry for over eight years as a personal trainer, nutritionist, and group fitness instructor. Jacob is a leader in the fitness industry, incorporating strength training, nutrition, and group exercise into a single vision of health and wellness. In addition to being the president and general manager of Adrenaline Fitness, Jacob is an active group fitness instructor for BODYCOMBAT, BODYPUMP, and BODYFLOW. Jacob is a national trainer for BODYFLOW, and a national presenter for BODYCOMBAT and BODYPUMP.

 

Ken EcholsKen Echols

Group Fitness Certifications: NASM Performance Enhancement, NESTA Lifestyle & Management

Ken started his fitness journey with becoming a firefighter when he was 19 years old. While with the fire department his passion for fitness and helping others lead him to obtain his CPT while conducting a runner camp at the Atlanta Falcon Complex. Ken’s continued education in fitness allowed him to develop the State’s premier Fire Recruit Basic Training Program. Ken utilized his talents to create a Heath & Wellness Program for not only his own fire department but assisted other Metro Atlanta departments as well. Ken has run 4 marathons, countless 10k and 5k races and 14 Peachtree Road Race. Trained and certified over 400 firefighters to serve the county.

 

Kris HullKris Hull

Kris began teaching BODYPUMP in October of 2007 after being a longtime participant of the program.  She has a master's in health services from the University of South Carolina and works as a part time nurse anesthetist.  When she's not putting people to sleep (hopefully not during her early morning BODYPUMP class...) she stays busy with her husband and three amazing children.

Kristen has been dedicated to group fitness as both a participant and instructor for over 20 years.  Being an avid Bodystepper, she became certified last year and currently enjoys subbing.  Outside of Adrenaline, Kristen stays busy as a mother of two girls and a kindergarten aide, working towards her MA in teaching.

Lance has always believed in the power of being fit for life.  He's been a life long student of several styles of martial arts and is currently studying Aikido.  A graduate of Georgia Tech, he was a police officer for Dekalb county for 5 years while in the army national guard.  He has since left those lives behind and is now a full time engineer.  He thoroughly enjoys helping others feel the satisfaction of a strong body through group fitness.

Libby is a junior Oglethorpe University and Adrenaline's youngest new instructor! She is majoring in art hIstory and is also interested in anthropology. Libby began taking BODYPUMP in January of 2008 in preparation for her study abroad trip to Italy. She was determined to get in shape and represent her school and country as a fit 'American Girl!' She was blown away at how fast she saw results from BODYPUMP and is excited to begin helping others achieve them too. In her spare time she loves trying other Les Mills classes and running. If you see her in the gym be sure to say hello!

 

Linda KimLinda Kim

Linda is Adrenaline’s international flavor! Although she was born in America, her family moved back to South Korea when she was 10 years old. Linda’s love for Les Mills fitness started when her best friend gave her a free pass to one of the biggest gyms in Korea. Once she started to take the classes, she experienced gradual changes in her body and mind, and loved the passion of the instructors. Currently, Linda is a psychology major and pre-med undergraduate at Emory University. Despite the fact that she is a ‘car-less college student’ Linda hops on MARTA and makes it to the gym everyday! Her goal is to inspire other people to become healthy and 'happy' through the passionate spirit of group fitness programs. You'll probably always see her around Adrenaline so if you do make sure you say Ahn Nyoung! ("hi" in Korean).

Lindsay is an Atlanta native with degrees in English and art history from UGA and a Masters Degree in English education from Agnes Scott. She currently teaching Yoginis, and after school program introducing kids to the benefits and fun of yoga. A self-described " clown", especially when teaching, Lindsay loves interacting with people in class. She is an avid runner and ridiculous soccer fan. "Someone once told me my house must be shaped like a soccer ball." Lindsay lives in East Cobb with her husband and three kids.

Mandy is the pharmacy manager with Walgreen's in Brookhaven. She attended pharmacy school at Mercer where she received her doctorate of pharmacy. Mandy is certified in and currently teaches BODYJAM, BODYPUMP, and BODYCOMBAT. In her spare time Mandy enjoys playing with her maltipoo Winston, dancing, and relaxing away from the fast pace of the pharmacy.

After several years of being overweight and unhappy, Michael made the decision to change his life for the better. In 2003 Michael lost 110 pounds through a healthy diet, weight training, and participation in group-fitness classes. Michael is a passionate BODYFLOW and BODYVIVE instructor, hoping to share its life-changing benefits with others. In the non-fitness world, Michael works at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in public health communication.  Michael has a degree in health and human development from Penn State University.  In his spare time, Michael volunteers at the Georgia Aquarium.

After Michele's first class of jabs, hooks, uppercuts, and kicks, she was instantly addicted to BODYCOMBAT. Ready to inspire others and take her fitness to the next level, she decided to join the COMBAT team. Fitness has always been part of her life, whether it is training for a half-marathon or attending other Les Mills classes. During the school year, Michele is a fifth grade teacher at The Davis Academy.  In her free time, she enjoys home-improvement projects, bargain shopping, hiking, and camping with her dogs, Bart and Madison.

After participating in a BODYJAM class, Michelle was hooked and became an instructor. Her ballet studies and experience as a professional cheerleader made BODYJAM a natural fit. Her skills combined with a passion for dance and her joyful freedom of motion allows students to tap into confidence, creativity and coordination in a playful way that encourages exploration of movement, and expressionism. Outside the gym, you can find Michelle producing YourBestFriend.tv, a video Web site focusing on the human animal bond, providing easy access to the latest information on adoption, training and care. A graduate of The Ohio State University, she dances through life with her husband, two dogs and two cats. Michelle believes anyone can dance if they just let loose and feel the music. Come Jam with Michelle and get hooked yourself! No experience necessary.

 

Monika BrockMonika Brock

Monika has been in the fitness industry for over 18 years getting her start as an instructor while working on her graduate degree and living in Germany back in the early 90's . Since taking her first step class at the age of 16, Monika has always enjoyed the dynamics of group fitness .... the "we are in it together" mentality and the FUN that exercising in a group brings. Her first experience with Les Mills was training for BODYFLOW without having every taken a yoga class. This "first time" experience allows her to connect with new participants as they begin their fitness journey.  She is also certified in BODYSTEP, BODYPUMP and BODYVIVE. When she is not at the gym or playing tennis, she is probably working at her day job - project manager/office manager/marketing manger for a residential architecture firm here in Atlanta.

Myrna has worked in Global Logistics for Kimberly Clark Corporation for the past 13 years.  She is in Tennessee on an assignment for the International Operations Team.  She hopes to be back in Atlanta soon! Myrna has 17 years of professional dance experience from when she lived in Puerto Rico; where she was born. She is also a musician and does original art on mirrors.  Myrna is certified in and currently teaches BODYJAM and BODY ATTACK in Tennessee for National Fitness Center and Court South.  She is also subbing BODYJAM at Adrenaline until she can get back to the ATL!

Paige is a UGA graduate with a degree in marketing. She was also a member of the two-time national champion equestrian team, and a former swimmer. Fitness has always been a huge part of her life and after years of taking BODYPUMP, she decided to become an instructor. With her background in coaching, swimming, and riding, it was a natural fit. She is currently in sales in the special events industry and a model with Elite Model Management in Atlanta. In her free time, she enjoys activities with her husband Brian, her chihuahua Dolce, cooking, entertaining, and traveling to her family’s beach house.

Renae began taking BODYPUMP as a participant about six years ago after learning that she was one pound away from being overweight. Determined not be a statistic, Renae began taking BODYPUMP three times per week. BODYPUMP transformed her body (losing 20 pounds and several inches) and transformed her life. Today, Renae is in the best shape of her life and she is a true advocate for healthy living and exercise, especially BODYPUMP and RPM. Renae was born and raised in Madison Wisconsin; she is a graduate of Spelman College and the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and she is a human resources professional at The Coca-Cola Company.

Scott enjoys a long relationship with Les Mills and group fitness. Scott began his career with Les Mills in 2001 as a club consultant. He quickly moved to teaching group fitness with BODYPUMP being his first program. Over the years he has added RPM and BODYCOMBAT to his arsenal. Scott became a National Trainer for BODYPUMP 2008. Scott is always looking for a fun class with a challenge. Bring the smiles and bring the fight! Scott is happily married to his beautiful wife of 13 years and they have 4 young sons who keep the energy going.

Born and raised as a "Jersey Girl", Stephanie, her husband, and her three beautiful children moved to Atlanta during the summer of 2007.  Prior to starting her family, Stephanie worked in physical therapy, as an assistant, and eventually managed several offices over an 18 year period.  Her passion for exercise grew after ending her career as a nationally competitive Arabian horseback rider.  Through her competitive nature, Stephanie earned several top ten honors and national championship titles.  After years of being a Les Mills participant, Stephanie was recruited by a BODYSTEP national trainer to go through training.  This experience ignited Stephanie's passion to teach group fitness. Experience her passion in the Thursday morning class as she welcomes you to new challenges.  Come on out and "Step it Up!" with Stephanie.

Susan has a bachelor's degree in genetics (applied biology) from Georgia Tech and is married with two sons. She enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her extended family. In addition to teaching group fitness classes, Susan works for Les Mills North America as an assessor and evaluates new instructors all over the country for certification.

Born and raised a Florida girl, she claims native status in Atlanta having lived here for 23 years.  An athlete throughout her school years, Tina pursued a degree in health & physical education and graduated with honors.  A passionate and energetic fitness enthusiast, Tina has taught in numerous gyms around the city for the past 18 years.  Presently, Tina teaches middle school P.E. at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic school in Sandy Springs, where she also teaches classes to the faculty two days a week. Tina lives in Dunwoody with her husband Neil and their two children, Lily and Nicky.

 

Vanessa SchnurrVanessa Schnurr

Vanessa grew up in the Atlanta area and works in advertising signage sales in Atlanta. She lives in the nearby Brookhaven area, and enjoys wine tasting, German cars, and UGA football in her time outside work and the gym. Also a self professed Nike junkie, Vanessa looks to get the most out of each and every workout. Look forward to her BODYPUMP classes as she "pumps you up"!
