In high school Abby assumed the nickname Abs and from then on, she knew she had her work cut out for her, literally.   While at the University of Georgia, Abby became certified as a group fitness instructor.  Teaching for the first time led her to the realization that “Yes, It is that hard to talk while exercising, maintaining perfect form, and averting participant collisions”.  Flash forward 10 years; Abby feels extremely fortunate to be able to touch, move, and inspire people each and every day. Her career aspirations led her through many different adventures from international flight attendant to aspiring litigator; however her constant passion has always been fitness.  Her best workout advice? “Just show up. ‘Eighty percent of success is achieved by simply showing up!"

 

Alia RabahAlia Rabah

Alia has been an instructor for 10 years and started by teaching freestyle kickboxing, sculpting, abs and cardio classes in Florida. Alia has worked as group fitness manager at Lifestyle Family Fitness and later moved to Atlanta where she started teaching at Adrenaline. Alia is also certified in Crossfit Level 1 and teaches kick boxing, BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, CrossFit, and freestyle classes. She is also active in obstacle course races such as Tough Mudder and Spartan Races.

 

Amanda ZitoAmanda Zito

Amanda is a pediatric speech therapist working in schools and in private practice around Atlanta. She earned a bachelor's degree from LSU and a master's from Vanderbilt. She is originally from South Louisiana, but has been in Atlanta since 2003. Amanda has played sports and worked out for years. Everything changed, however, after coming to Adrenaline and being introduced to Les Mills group fitness. She truly has come to love and appreciate exercise and can't wait to share it with others! Barbie Locke has been teaching group fitness since 2004. She is certified in several Les Mills programs, TRX – Group Suspension, and is currently working on her NASM certification. Barbie is an avid runner and has completed one full marathon as well as several half marathons and 10ks. Her family is a huge motivation to her, especially her kids. She is greatly inspired by the people she meets and the passion they have to change their lives and get healthy. Barbie loves seeing others results and being a part of their fitness journey and help them fulfill their goals. Barbie believes in TEAM = To Encourage and Motivate!

Beth is an avid cyclist, runner and triathlete. Her main focus is endurance events and she has completed numerous century bike rides, half marathons and even a couple half IronMan triathlon. She brings her passion for fitness and cycling to RPM and enjoys helping people reach their fitness goals. Join her as she brings the outside ride indoors, leading you on a ride through hills, city streets, mountains and country roads.

Bri is a recent marine biologist import from Washington state. When not defending the underwater world you can find her working out, supporting the Braves and reading scuba magazines. Bri’s first love was BODYFLOW, but she likes to mix it up with BODYSTEP and BODYPUMP, and has most recently become enchanted with Adrenaline Fire.

Caitlin discovered Les Mills during highschool and has been hooked ever since! RPM being her favorite of all the programs, she got the courage to go through the initial training. Sharing her passion and excitment for group fitness, as well as helping members improve their health is rewarding for her. Caitlin not only finds it rewarding to help people reach their fitness goals in the gym, but also to help her patients reach thier goals towards good health as a Registered ICU Nurse.

Fitness has always been a part of Candace's life. She played lacrosse, was a competitive dancer for 12 years, and has been an avid runner for as long as she can remember. Candace has a BS in Psychology from the University of Georgia as well as a graduate certificate in Public Health from Georgia State University. Candace is an active participant in all the programs offered at Adrenaline and can often be found in BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, or FUSION.  After letting her passion lead her, she became a BODYCOMBAT instructor and the rest is history. Cara EngelCara Engel

Originally from Denver, Colorado, via the Midwest, Cara has been proud to call Atlanta her home for the last 20 years, and has loved living in Dunwoody since '05. She has been involved in some type of organized sports from a very young age, starting with downhill skiing at age 3. From there, softball, track, gymnastics, and cheer leading were all a big part of her life as a child and young adult. As an "older" adult, in addition to her Les Mills classes, Golf has become her passion. Cara graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, and has been enjoying teaching Les Mills classes since 1999. In her spare time, Cara does IT consulting and website development work from her home. Cara is married and has two amazing preschool-age daughters.

Carol has danced for most of her life starting in grade school, high school, and in the Southwest Jazz/Ballet Company. She has also been a cheerleader in school as well as an NFL cheerleader and has performed in Las Vegas shows at the Riviera and Flamingo Hilton Hotels.  Carol has always regarded Pilates, weight training, cardio exercise and proper nutrition as preventative health care, thereby improving the quality of one's life. She tells her clients not to focus on things that cannot be changed, but rather on what can be changed like metabolic rate, size, weight and shape. An exercise program should not be looked upon as drudgery, but as a necessary, fun and enjoyable challenge in one's daily routine for a lifetime!

Although Zumba fitness has only been in her life for about two years now, Iliana, has been dancing since she can remember. Her Panamanian and Colombian heritage has brought her to love music and the rhythms from her childhood are what has made her love for Zumba so immense. Iliana has been a certified Zumba instructor since February 2011 and has previously taught in California and now in Atlanta. Recently Iliana has lost 60 lbs which she directly attributes to her her new fitness life.

Before opening Adrenaline Fitness, Jacob (Jake) worked in the fitness industry for over nine years as a personal trainer, nutritionist, and group fitness instructor. Jacob is a leader in the fitness industry, incorporating strength training, nutrition, and group exercise into a holistic vision of health and wellness. In addition to being the president and general manager of Adrenaline Fitness, Jacob is an active group fitness instructor for Iron Yoga, BODYCOMBAT, BODYPUMP, and BODYFLOW.

Jennifer has always led an active life.  She has competed in various sports including softball, volleyball, and rugby, and she even worked as an instructor for Universal Cheerleaders Association for seven years.  Jennifer was never interested in joining a gym until she discovered the great benefits of group fitness three years ago.  She developed an instant passion for RPM and BODYPUMP, and has recently fallen in love with BODYFLOW.  She believes a well-rounded workout is vital to achieve your personal fitness goals.  Jennifer is currently working on her Masters degree in curriculum and instruction, and in her spare time she enjoys running, hiking, going to Braves games, and spending time with her husband Corey, and their two dogs, Carson and Jack Bauer.

Jeremiah has been in the fitness industry for 10 years and has managed training departments at various gyms throughout the US. Jeremiah is also a US Marine and was a reservist for 8 years. Assisting others to make positive, life changing choices is his passion! Jeremiah has a BS in exercise physiology and is a certified personal trainer (CPT). Jessica, a native New Yorker, fell in love with yoga several years ago and has since enjoyed deepening her practice and sharing her knowledge. Aside from her love of yoga and health and wellness, Jessica is also a graphic designer who set the stage for her design work through painting, drawing and photography. Jessica has practiced yoga extensively since 2005. After 5 years of a dedicated personal practice she went through an intense yoga teacher training and earned her 200-hour certification with Yoga Teachers Training Institute in Queens, NY, which is recognized by the Yoga Alliance. With her increasing knowledge of Eastern philosophy and interest in health and wellness for all ages, she then pursued a Children’s Yoga teacher training where again, she earned her certification with Yoga Teachers Training Institute in Queens, NY.

Katherine is new to the Atlanta area (from Clinton, MS by way of Birmingham, AL) and is so excited about finding a new gym home at Adrenaline Wellness. She is very passionate about fitness - running and cycling, specifically. Katherine was an avid runner and spinner growing up. However, after a a few years of becoming out of shape and putting on some weight, she finally realized she was not living up to her potential. Katherine has since combined running, group fitness and proper nutrition and has lost over 35 pounds. Katherine has been teaching RPM since early 2010 and loves sharing her passion and journey for a healthy lifestyle with others.

Kimberly earned her BA in communications from Georgia State University and is working toward a master's in teaching at Oglethorpe University. With a diverse work history that includes positions in the non-profit sector and at Turner Broadcasting, she now teaches preschool to little darlings in Buckhead. Kimberly and her precocious daughter can be found at the gym most evenings. A BODYPUMP instructor since spring '02, she became certified to teach BODYATTACK in 2008. Kimberly loves the challenge that this sports-inspired workout offers and hopes you'll come be an "athlete in motion" with her!

Leah Quartararo is a wife and mom of twins, now 3, and a 5 year old. She is ACE certified as a personal trainer and fitness instructor as well as pre/post natal. In addition, she has continued her education within physical fitness and became certified in TRX, BODYPUMP and soon to be CXWORX. Lindsay is an Atlanta native with degrees in English and art history from UGA and a Masters Degree in English education from Agnes Scott. She currently teaching Yoginis, and after school program introducing kids to the benefits and fun of yoga. A self-described " clown", especially when teaching, Lindsay loves interacting with people in class. She is an avid runner and ridiculous soccer fan. "Someone once told me my house must be shaped like a soccer ball." Lindsay lives in East Cobb with her husband and three kids.

Lindsey grew up in the Atlanta area and graduated with her BBA & MBA from the University of Georgia. She lives in the nearby Brookhaven area and works as a Sr. Financial Analyst for Lexis Nexis Screening Solutions. Lindsey began taking BODYPUMP as a participant with her mother 13 years ago, which kick started her love of group fitness. While she was obtaining her undergraduate degree, she was inspired to pursue her passion along side of her education and became a certified BODYPUMP instructor. Shortly after, Lindsey also pursued her RPM certification. She loves being an advocate for healthy living and believes she can change people's lives by sharing her passion and energy through group exercise. Outside of teaching, Lindsey is an avid 1/2 marathon runner and of course, an die hard DAWGS fan.

Mandi has always been active in dance, sports and other fitness. An avid runner and sprint distance triathlete, she believes strongly in cross training. After being a participant for too many years, she is certified in BODYPUMP and RPM. Mandi is an Atlanta native and a graduate of the University of Georgia. She is Marketing and Promotion Director at Killer Creek Harley-Davidson (since 2006) and enjoys riding her own motorcycle, snow and water skiing and being outdoors. Mandi loves watching her participants get "hooked" and coaching them towards their personal fitness goals.

In her spare time Mandy enjoys playing with her maltipoo Winston, dancing, and relaxing away from the fast pace of the pharmacy.

After several years of being overweight and unhappy, Michael made the decision to change his life for the better. In 2003 Michael lost 110 pounds through a healthy diet, weight training, and participation in group-fitness. Michael is a passionate hot yoga, BODYFLOW, and CXWORX instructor who enjoys sharing the life-changing benefits of fitness with others. In the non-fitness world, Michael works at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in HIV prevention.  Michael has a degree in health and human development from Penn State University.  In his spare time, Michael is also Adrenaline's Web and brand marketing guru and a volunteer at the Georgia Aquarium.

After Michele's first class of jabs, hooks, uppercuts, and kicks, she was instantly addicted to BODYCOMBAT. Ready to inspire others and take her fitness to the next level, she decided to join the COMBAT team. Fitness has always been part of her life, whether it is training for a half-marathon or attending other Les Mills classes. During the school year, Michele is a fifth grade teacher at The Davis Academy.  In her free time, she enjoys home-improvement projects, bargain shopping, hiking, and camping with her dogs, Bart and Madison.

After participating in a BODYJAM class, Michelle was hooked and became an instructor. Her ballet studies and experience as a professional cheerleader made BODYJAM a natural fit. Her skills combined with a passion for dance and her joyful freedom of motion allows students to tap into confidence, creativity and coordination in a playful way that encourages exploration of movement, and expressionism. Outside the gym, you can find Michelle producing YourBestFriend.tv, a video Web site focusing on the human animal bond, providing easy access to the latest information on adoption, training and care. A graduate of The Ohio State University, she dances through life with her husband, two dogs and two cats. Michelle believes anyone can dance if they just let loose and feel the music. Michelle has always enjoyed group fitness.  After years of being a participant, she began teaching BODYSTEP in May of 2003.  She enjoyed teaching so much that she became certified in BODYPUMP in January of 2005.  Michelle was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia and moved to Atlanta in 1993.  She has her bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Georgia and also holds a Georgia Real Estate Broker's License.  Michelle is married and has two terrific children.

 

Mike HagertyMike Hagerty

Mike grew up in St Louis and Louisville before leaving home. After finishing school he eventually settled in Atlanta. Mike joined Adrenaline Fitness in 2008 to increase strength and stay fit enough to continue playing soccer. His first group fitness class was RPM. He found it a welcome alternative to pounding pavement in preparation for pounding rock hard pitches on game day. When not playing soccer or in the gym he enjoys walks in the woods as he searches for his errant golf balls. In the corporate world Mike is paid to hunt software bugs - something he has been doing since floppy disks were as big as Frisbees.

Monika has been in the fitness industry for over 18 years getting her start as an instructor while working on her graduate degree and living in Germany back in the early 90's . Since taking her first step class at the age of 16, Monika has always enjoyed the dynamics of group fitness .... the "we are in it together" mentality and the FUN that exercising in a group brings. Her first experience with Les Mills was training for BODYFLOW without having every taken a yoga class. This "first time" experience allows her to connect with new participants as they begin their fitness journey.  She is also certified in BODYSTEP, BODYPUMP and BODYVIVE. When she is not at the gym or playing tennis, she is probably working at her day job - project manager/office manager/marketing manger for a residential architecture firm here in Atlanta.

Myrna has worked in global logistics for Kimberly Clark Corporation for the past 15 years.  She is in Tennessee on an assignment for the International Operations/Transportation Team.  She hopes to be back in Atlanta permanently at some point soon!!! Myrna had 17 years of dance experience prior to finding her fascination for Les Mills’ BODYJAM. She is also a musician and does original paintings on mirrored glass.  Myrna is an Advanced Instructor for BODYJAM and an Assessor for BODYJAM and SH'BAM.

Natasha graduated from Albany State University with a BS in nursing. She has worked as a nurse for 11 years.  After becoming a vegetarian and losing 45 pounds, 7 years ago, she decided it was time for a career change and enrolled in The National Personal Training Institute.  She owns her own business, YourSkinniMini, Fitness and Nutrition. Natasha, is also the Assistant Marketing Director for Fitness411 Productions. Her motto in life is, “If you live within your self imposed limits, you will never discover your true potential.”

Paige had been a long time BODYPUMP participant and had always dreamed of taking the stage.  It wasn't until she came to Adrenaline as a member was she inspired enough to take the steps to become an instructor.  She was certified in 2008 in BODYPUMP and most recently in RPM.  Finding that group fitness was a true passion of hers, she was able to quit her full time job and focus on a career in fitness.  Having battled her weight in the past, empathizes with participants who are nervous or wary of group fitness.  When she's not at the gym you can find her cheering on her Georgia Bulldogs (she is a two time national champion with the Equestrian team), running (she recently finished her first half marathon), or hanging out with her beloved husband and chihuahua, Dolce.

Patricia has always enjoyed exercising and walking. After her retirement, she took some SilverSneaker classes and decided to get the best of two worlds - exercise and teach. She received her accreditation and continues to take classes. She has watched many class members get excited about exercise and health. Our classes are what Silver Sneakers exemplify: Fun – Fitness – Friends.  For over ten years, she has been a volunteer with Visiting Nurse/Hospice Atlanta either at the Center or Home Patient Care.  Her son, Scott, and his family live in Florida.

Renae began taking BODYPUMP as a participant in 2003 after learning that she was one pound away from being overweight. Determined not be a statistic, Renae began taking BODYPUMP three times per week. BODYPUMP transformed her body (losing 20 pounds and several inches) and transformed her life. Today, Renae is in the best shape of her life and she is a true advocate for healthy living and exercise, especially BODYPUMP and RPM. Renae was born and raised in Madison Wisconsin; she is a graduate of Spelman College and the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and she is a human resources professional at The Coca-Cola Company.

Shelley has an MFA in poetry, has studied gerontological social work, and has worked as a software developer and an educator. Her most recent passion is teaching Les Mills classes, which she's been teaching since 2005. Group fitness started out as something she did a few days a week to get herself out of the house and healthy after her babies, but it has become an inspiration and source of community. Les Mills classes have given Shelley a new awareness of the amazing potential and capabilities of the human body – and an unnatural degree of enjoyment in seeing other people sweat.

Born and raised as a "Jersey Girl", Stephanie, her husband, and her three beautiful children moved to Atlanta during the summer of 2007. Prior to starting her family, Stephanie worked in physical therapy, as an assistant, and eventually managed several offices over an 18 year period. Her passion for exercise grew after ending her career as a nationally competitive Arabian horseback rider. Through her competitive nature, Stephanie earned several top ten honors and national championship titles. After years of being a Les Mills participant, Stephanie was recruited by a BODYSTEP national trainer to go through training. This experience ignited Stephanie's passion to teach group fitness!! Her passion has inspired her to expanded her abilities and she is now certified in BODYPUMP and CXWORX.

Stephanie's passion is health and wellness. She recently joined the Adrenaline team as a Certified Personal Trainer and Yoga Instructor. She is new to Atlanta and very grateful for the opportunity be a part of the Adrenaline community. Whether she is training a client or teaching yoga, Stephanie believes in the power of uniting breath and movement. Currently, Stephanie is working on becoming a Certified Health and Wellness Coach. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her new husband and exploring all that Atlanta has to offer.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Susan is proud to be among the few natives. Growing up, she was an athlete balancing her time between soccer, competitive swimming and diving. A self-proclaimed "science nerd" and Yellow Jacket fan, Susan went to Georgia Tech and graduated with a degree in genetics. After "retiring" from her real job to become a stay-at-home mom, she began teaching group fitness classes in 2003. She PASSIONATELY loves serving others in the gym setting and feels grateful to connect with so many interesting people. When away from the fitness world, Susan is a die-hard SOCCER MOM to her 2 fabulous sons, Harrison and Cole. She and her husband, Jeff, also claim to have a small zoo, taking care of their 2 dogs, 2 cats, 5 snakes and 1 parrot. Susan and her family reside in Dunwoody.

 

Tina WilliamsonTina Williamson

Born and raised in Panama City, Florida, Tina has lived in Atlanta for 26 years. An athlete throughout her school years, Tina pursued a degree in Health & Physical Education and graduated with honors. A passionate and energetic fitness professional since 1990, Tina has taught in all the "big-house gyms" of Atlanta. Going the extra mile to help folks "get fit, stay fit and getter fitter" is her motto! Adrenaline is a great fit for Tina, as it caters to the individual needs of its members, offering a wide variety of dynamic and innovative training opportunities. Presently, Tina teaches Physical Education at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School in Sandy Springs, where she also teaches fitness classes to the faculty two days a week. A Dunwoody resident and tennis player, Tina is the CEO of her house, where she lives with her husband Neil "Hondo" Williamson and their two children, Lily and Nicky.

 

Vanessa SchnurrVanessa Schnurr

Vanessa grew up in the Atlanta area and works in medical device sales in Atlanta. She lives in the nearby Chamblee area, and enjoys wine tasting, traveling, and UGA football in her time outside work and the gym. Vanessa uses her passion to help others through teaching and motivating members to reach their personal fitness goals. She looks to get the most out of each and every workout. Look forward to her BODYPUMP classes as she "pumps you up"!
